Tony Starlight’s ‘80s Experience

Featuring Tony Starlight and The Nu Wavers & Special Appearance by metal Gods Whörnet

Tony joins forces with The Nu Wavers to take on the ’80s. During the first set Tony will take you through his personal love/hate relationship with the fashion, style and music of the most ridiculous decade in memory.

Through music and monologues Tony will explain what a boom box was. Reveal which ’80s icon most influenced his horrible clothing choices. Discuss the wisdom of piling kids in the back of a pickup truck and heading down a two lane highway while listening to Rick Springfield. And ask the tough questions like, “What is a key-tar and should I be afraid?” and  “Is the best music from the ’80s the TV theme songs?”

Who are some of the horrible artists whose songs Tony will sing? Billy Idol, INXS, U2, R.E.M., The Cure, Modern English, The Church, John Cougar Mellencamp, Talking Heads and more.

The second set legendary glam metal band Whörnet will storm the stage performing their classics “(It’s not a Firebird, it’s a) Trans Am”, “Roxygen”, “(We’re) Gonna Rock”, and the metal ballad classic “Angel Whore.”
