Go Western, Young Man! In Ridgefield
The Starlight Ranch Hands and I are a-fixin’ to dish out a heapin’ helpin’ of Cowboy and Western songs on this here Saturday night. Put on your fancy duds, rustle up a ticket and join us!
The first set’s a tribute to the legendary singing cowboys like Roy Rogers, Tex Ritter, Jimmy Wakely and my personal favorite, the great Gene Autry. We’ll be introducing our brand spankin’ new work ups of such Cowboy Classics as “Tumbling Tumbleweeds”, “Cool Water”, “Cattle Call”, “Mule Train”, “I’m An Old Cowhand”, “Oklahoma Hills”, “Happy Trails”, and many more, including “El Paso”. (Trigger warning: The feller in that song winds up on the wrong side of a trigger.)
The second set we’ll dust off some classic country tunes from Hank Williams, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell and John Denver. We expect you to sing and holler along!
I ain’t been fired up this much for a show in a month of Sundays. If you pardners see fit to joinin’ us, I reckon I’d be happier than a kitten follerin’ a leaky cow!
